it definitely pours when it rains

I've been watching my mailbox like a hawk for a couple of weeks now, as I've been impatiently waiting for my goodies :) So the moment I received the PO notices last Monday, I badgered DH no end until he relented and asked his messenger to head over to the PO today. At noon, DH sent me a text message to let me know that my goodies were safe and sound! I was practically tweedling my thumbs at work, raring to head for home as soon as I could. Haha! I was in such a rush to be home I didn't even bother to reply to my daughter's text message asking me if she could open 'the box'. A box? Apparently, a box was delivered to my doorstep today!!!! I was giddy with excitement!

Sure enough, there was a box waiting for me in my living room. To top it off, my Bad Girls Friday Patrol RAK was sitting on the counter!!! Thanks so much, Iris! :) I couldn't decide which to open first, hahaha!! Like a kid on Christmas morning, I marveled and grinned each time I tore open a parcel, hahaha! As for the box, I honestly couldn't recall what I had in there anymore as these were orders from way back May! :o Unfortunately, there was nothing in it for the kiddos this time around =(

Here are the loot!

Let me just add this here as I only managed to pick it up from Liza last weekend :) RAK from Mia. Thanks so much! :)

celebrating friendships

who would've thought that the scrapbooking community in Manila would grow by leaps & bounds in such a short period of time? & more importantly, that it would forge friendships among complete strangers? Yes, each one in his own way helps shape this community, but one very strong driving force behind this phenomenal snowball is Joanne Yap, whose passion for the craft is indeed admirable and seemingly boundless.

Last Saturday afternoon, a group of girls came together to give thanks and to just spend time with Joanne who is relocating to Australia soon. It was an afternoon of fun and camaraderie, an afternoon well-spent. I do wish you and your family well, dear friend, as you embark on a new life down under. Thank you once again for your friendship, generosity and sincerity. I know we will see each other again. As they say, goodbye is not forever. So, til we meet again, Joanne, Godspeed!

in a scrappy mood

whoops! I thought I was gonna be productive and work on some stuff for school over the long weekend, instead, I found myself crafting, teehee.

Here's a card I made for a friend:

Supplies: CS: Bazzill; PP: MME; STAMPS: Stampin' Up and Art Impressions; INKPADS: Stampin' Up, Versa; ribbon, mini pearls

I also worked on a couple of pages for some challenges. Will post photos soon as I get the go-ahead from the challengers. Have a great weekend!

a couple more

indeed, a day for card-making

Well, what do you know. I did manage to come up with several cards for WCMD =)

Here's one of them:

Supplies: Bazzill CS, MOD PP, STAMP: Stampin' Up; FLOWERS: Prima and unknown; OTHERS: ribbon, ribbon slide, eyelet

And here's the entire lot (well, most of it anyways) which is the reason I am just now about to hit the sack!

another one for the KAYA challenges

Uhm, pretty challenging challenge! Haha! No patterned papers, no embellishments, no inking/stamping, no nothing! Ack! So Tuesday, 2 October, while I was having my lunch break, I tried to think about something that might actually work and I ended up sketching on the back of my lunch receipt. I had to attend to several other matters in the last couple of days so I was only able to execute my plan today. whew! thank goodness I can now say, KAYA! =)

Since I had so many photos of DH and me printed several weeks ago, I felt I needed to use them up somehow, haha, so here's one more.

Journaling: for now... & always

Supplies: CS: Bazzill; Markers: Sharpie and Zig; Colored Pencil: EK Success

happy world card making day

oh i just hope i can get the chance to play and make some cards today!!!

Here are some fun facts about greeting cards. The first known exchange of greeting cards can be traced back to ancient China. The top occasions for making cards are birthday, winter holidays (such as Christmas and New Year's), and Thank You notes. The most popular time of year for card-making starts in October and focuses on holiday cards.

time to inque

INK my new inque (and fontwerks) stamps, that is :) finally, the loooooong wait for my orders is (kinda) over. While I'm practically jumping up and down upon receiving my new playthings, I can't help but feel a tad annoyed with the PO for misplacing my other package of stamping goodies! :( That, and the fact that I had to wait longer than usual for these packages to arrive. Oh well. DH's messenger will have to go back to the PO on Thursday to find out if they've managed to locate my goodies, as well as to pick up one other package, notice for which, I've received late yesterday afternoon!

So, maybe as soon as I'm done with some school requirements, I think I shall have to play!!! Awesome.

In other news... I am now the proud owner of 2 more stamp sets, heehee. Hmm... I wonder when I'd be able to get my hands on these? (note: thanks to Mia for tempting me with her Love, Elsie alpha stamps, haha)
