Birthday girl

Oh, well, I guess turning another year older is inevitable. Hmmmm... turning 37 probably isn't all that bad :) I was just telling my husband how "I think" I look younger today than about 3 years ago! Hahahaha!!! To mark my birthday this year, I've decided to finally start blogging. Never too late to try something new!

So anyways, my special day was pretty busy. Gerard and I had breakfast at Conti's (nothing fantastic, in my opinion) but what I liked about it was the fact that Gerard offered to buy me a birthday cake although I was a bit disappointed that the Raspberry Chocolate Pie is no longer available... Anyways, I settled for French Apple Pie and then we stopped by the grocery store to get some vanilla ice cream! YUM! :)

Took some photos of my "birthday cake" and the family before Gerard left to play golf at The Orchard. I also decided to treat myself to a foot spa at CANS before we headed off to Glorietta for my niece's (Kelly) 7th birthday party. We stayed for about 2 hours then headed home, supposedly to take the kids out for dinner at CPK. Kids must be growing up faster than I thought - they didn't want to go out with me and Gerard anymore! :o So, Gerard and I changed plans and decided to try out Amoroma - an Italian restaurant I've always wanted to try. Food's great! We ordered bruschetta, seafood pasta, and osso buco! Thanks for a lovely day, Tub! :) But I really must be getting older! :o I was in bed not long after we got home from dinner! Gerard couldn't smile properly coz of his bell's palsy :(

I was so excited to scrap my birthday photos I decided to use them for the Sketch and Scrap contest sponsored by Valerie Salmon. This is what I came up with:
Journaling reads: Ack!! how did this happen? For some reason, I am another year older. It's not that I don't feel blessed, it's just that inside, I still feel like I'm 20. LOL!
