The inside of the card says the sentiment above and it's for none other than the Queen of A Muse herself, Julie Ebersole! who apparently loves to say, shut up! =)
Happy birthday, JulieHRR! Hope you have a great day!!!

kaya challenge 9
for this round, we had to use a B&W 5x7 photo of our pretty selves (ha!) and come up with a page stating our 3 most fervent wishes for the year. hmmm...
I was pretty much done with my basic page (cardstock and papers) about 2 weeks ago but I got held up by the fact that I was unable to pick up my photo from the lab until now... haha. as soon as I got my 5x7, i simply proceeded to stamp the rest of my title. where to put the journaling (albeit a bullet type version) was a bit tricky. i finally decided on some label stickers. looks ok to me, so it's all good.
JOURNALING:
1. good health for my family
2. to lose at least 10 lbs
3. to take a family vacation in the summer
SUPPLIES: Bazzill cardstock, KI Pop Culture, American Crafts patterned paper, Fontwerks cardstock sticker, Technique Tuesday stamps, Colorbox ink pad, Zig pen

more scrapping and less shopping in 2008
i have resolved that for this year, my word would be CREATE. I'd really love to be able to create more pages and do a little less shopping! Alas! scrap shopping seems to be a sickness I can no longer remedy! yikes! :o To try and even things out a bit, i guess the easy way out now is for me to just use up my supplies more often.
let's see how it goes. so far, i have managed to churn out a page for each day of the year. i'm crossing my fingers that i'd be able to keep up with this ;) if not daily, then at least i hope to be able to complete more than the number of pages i was able to work on last year.
here are some of the new pages I have managed to put together in the last few days:
supplies from Bad Girls December kit + extra Primas + glimmer mist

scrapping with friends
I got a text message from Lee sometime last week asking me if i wanted to come along and scrap with them at Pia's house (in Dasma, Cavite) today. did i? hmmm. i'm so used to scrapping on my own but thought maybe it would be fun to scrap with a small group for a change. needless to say, i decided to go.
i asked Lee where she was going to meet up with the other girls and she said they planned on doing so at MOA! ACK!!!!! i figured i was better off heading straight to cavite on my own, but Lee suggested maybe it would be more fun if we carpooled using her van; and so we tried to brainstorm on a more favorable meeting place at least as far as i was concerned! haha! (it was also around this time I discovered that there was a change in destination. we were now going to Alby's in Kawit, instead!)
for some strange reason, i got up at around 4am, and since I wasn't able to pack up last night, i decided to do so right away. I looked at possible sketches for the LOs I planned to work on today and proceeded to pick out papers and stuff. at the last minute, i decided to pre-cut my papers so that i'd only be gluing them down once we started scrapping later today.
Lee, Nina, Cookie and I met up at McDonald's Las Pinas at around 1045AM and we finally got to Alby's place (lovely, lovely home indeed) a little past 11. we set our stuff down and got comfortable ;) Pia joined us not long after. lunch was yummy! after a short chit-chat session, we set out to scrap! we were so engrossed in the chicka, for a moment there we forgot all about making pages, hahaha!!!
oh joy! as i declared, i was able to complete 4 pages and then some (i just need to add a photo, a title, and journaling to the page i intend to submit for the KAYA challenge for this month. i even got to finish up tubbyboy's mini! we ended up having dinner at Alby's place as well and eventually packed up at around 930PM.
Thank you, Alby and Ariel, for your hospitality! and thanks for the ride, Lee! Had fun chatting with you, Nina and Cookie as well! Whoa, and thanks for the special prize, Nina! that was really quick! and i love it!!
here's what I got to work on today!
supplies: Daisy D's and Gin-X papers, Scenic Route label sticker, Dymo, Technique Tuesday alpha stamps, Versa ink pad
supplies: Bazzill cardstock, My Mind's Eye papers, Prima notepad, Hambly rub-on, Technique Tuesday stamps, Versa ink pad, Zig pen
supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Scenic Route papers, Dymo, AC Thickers chipboard stickers
supplies: Label Tulip September kit and add-ons (Basic Grey paper, priceless tag, Scenic Route chipboard, Jenni Bowlin rub-on), My Mind's Eye paper, MM alpha stamps, Colorbox chalk ink pad, AC pen
that was so much fun! =)

saturday scrapping
well. it's kinda official. i'm a 'computer' potato, hahaha! :o i was meaning to sweat it out on the treadmill again this morning, head over to Southmall to get some stuff for Ian's school, and then maybe mosey over to Town Center to get some photos printed but none of that happened. YEP. I sat in front of my mac and surfed away. well, not all day, but a major part of the day, i think! i decided to finish up Nina's challenges and I got to work on a card using up some of my older stash (alcohol inks, yay!)
supplies: ranger alcohol inks, photo paper, Bazzill cardstock, elzybells stamp, prismacolor pencils, ribbon
and that was the most 'productive' i could get all day. hahaha! actually, i had grand plans of working on 2 other techniques: bubble and bleach, but then I re-read Nina's challenge and realized that I needed to show only one technique. whew! my lazy self felt pleased =)
